Transforming Your RVs and Horse Trailers into Works of Art

At JJ RV & Horse Trailer Repair, LLC, we specialize in breathing new life into tired RVs and horse trailers, turning them into remarkable spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Our comprehensive range of services is designed to cater to your every need, ensuring that your home away from home reflects your unique style and preferences.

Flooring

We like to use treated 2”x 4”x 96” studs for the framing of the flooring as well as deck screws for all of the flooring for added protection. We then insulate with 3/4” foil faced styrofoam boards and seal the seams with foil tape to ensure complete seal from cold or hot weather. We then use treated 3/4” x 48” x 96” plywood for the flooring before laying down the linoleum or snap in planks of choice.

Paneling

All the panels that we use are from Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, and in some cases, a local surplus store. Customers have the option to choose what design they want. We use 1” x 2” x 96” furring strips in most cases and 2” x 2”x 96” in others for attaching to the metal inside the living quarters.

Insulation

Once the framing is complete we use 3/4” x 48” x 96” foil faced styrofoam boards cut to size to insulate the walls. We use foil faced to add better protection from the elements such as hot/cold temperatures and moisture in the walls from metal sweat. We like to leave a barrier in the walls to keep the walls from sweating too much. Once the foam boards are done, we use foil faced tape to seal in cracks and seams to keep the moisture out.

Electrical

We use different types of wiring for our projects depending on what the customer wants in the living quarters. With codes in mind, the trailer is wired to meet what the customer wants such as outlets, lights, usb, stereos, powered awnings, solar hook ups, etc. All the wiring is done per RVIA code and standards. Everything is well tested before leaving the property for the safety of our customer.

Plumbing

We follow RVIA standards when installing plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom. We do black, gray, and fresh fill tanks. We do full kitchen and bathrooms as well as cowboy showers in the stall area. Gas lines are installed per job as well. All the plumbing and gas installations are well tested before leaving the property for the safety of our customers.

Innovative design

All the jobs we complete are totally up to our customers. We try to meet all of our customers wants and needs as much as possible. Our belief is it’s your home away from home, and you should be comfortable as much as possible. We listen to all the details our customers want in their living quarters and try to make it happen. In most cases, the customers get what they want or we figure out another way to make their dreams a reality. Everything we do to our trailers is custom-designed and mostly built in house.
